Established in 2003, the South Side Community Federal Credit Union (SSCFCU) not-for-profit community development financial institution. The SSCFCU serves a membership base of 2,000 with $3.5 million in assets since its opening.
Membership is open to anyone who lives, works, worships, attends school or who is a member of an organization on Chicago's South Side.
I'd like to encourage the membership to become more active. As a member / owner you are more than a customer. Our growth and success depend upon your participation. Your account is an important investment in your community!

12th Annual Anniversary Celebration
This year SSCFCU hosts its 12th anniversary celebration as a benefit gala under the reoccurring theme of: "People Helping People".
The event is a fundraiser to expand operations and economic opportunity programs which includes housing and financial education.
South Side Community Federal Credit Union is governed by the over-riding principle of "People Helping People. SSCFCU continues to be a strong agent for change by fostering economic self-sufficiency as well as serving as a viable financial intermediary for investing in people.
Therefore, when you invest in us, you invest in the people we serve. Your partnership is invaluable to us because it is through the generosity of people like you that we are able to provide high quality resources that are necessary to create and sustain financially healthy neighborhoods.

New! HOME BUYER EDUCATION PROGRAM
Home buyer education is an important class you need to take before you decide to purchase your first home.
It teaches you the basic homeownership terms, steps and strategies so you are prepared to have a positive home buying experience.
Our Home Buyer Education Program covers all aspects of the home buying process from A to Z, such as selecting, financing, and closing on your first home. Participants become more knowledgeable and confident with making important personal and financial decisions about homeownership.
Each participant will receive a certified Home Buyer’s Certificate upon completion of the program. This certificate can provide borrowing incentives from your lender such as down payment and closing cost assistance.
